Last Drop of Empty is Dave’s fifth studio album. It’s produced by American producer Stacy Parrish, whose work with T Bone Burnett, Alison Krauss and Robert Plant on Raising Sand won him a number of Grammy awards, and Jack Casady of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna fame. Jack also plays bass on the album. Recorded across London, Los Angeles, Jersey and Sweden in what became a four-year labour of love, Dave’s lyrics are filled with raw energy and emotion.
The record presents 10 songs with an overall story arc. Guest musicians include Gunnar Frick on accordion, piano and pedal steel, Ross Garren on harmonica, Isaiah Gage on cello, Moa Drugge on harmony vocals, Stacy on a plethora of accompanying instrumentation and Jack’s unmistakable bass.
